Photo Album for 2014

Once again, we reminded our Gold Star Families they are NEVER FORGOTTEN with an annual Christmas dinner at Soldier Field in December of 2014. Thanks to all who support our ministry, making this annual event possible!!!

On 09 DEC 2014, the Brotherhood For The Fallen hosted a Christmas fundraiser party at Simon's Bar on Clark and Foster. It was a great success, and about a dozen supporters entered an "Ugly Christmas Sweater" contest.

Fr. Dan Brandt accepts a $5,000 donation to Police Chaplains Ministry from Michelle Higgins and Steve Walski,
children of retired PO Joe Walski, in whose memory a golf outing fundraiser was held in June 2014.

On 29 JUN 2014, Police Chaplains Ministry again hosted our beloved Gold Star Families  on a luncheon cruise aboard the Spirit of Chicago. A wonderful afternoon was enjoyed by the hundreds of members who attended.

19 MAR 2014: On the street on Western Avenue in 008, Officers Brian Sullivan and Colin Prendergast, with PO/Chaplain Bob Montelongo between them, show off their most valuable and reliable weapons: their Rosaries. Like many PO's, these guys always carry a Rosary in their vest pocket... a practice that I have now picked up when I'm out with the troops. Email me if you'd like me to send you a Rosary to carry in your vest pocket.

Celebrating our Irish Heritage: Representatives from CPD, the Chaplains Office, the Survivors Group and the 100 Club of Chicago prepare to march in the downtown St. Patrick's Day parade on 15 MAR 2014.

Making the rounds with the troops... Fr. Dan shares a laugh with PO David Hoffenkamp (009) who is busy ridding our streets of gangs, guns and drugs!

Yes, indeed, theater fans... That IS "THE Phantom" from Phantom of The Opera. Lead Cooper Grodin takes a break from the stage after an evening performance for a night cap at Miller's Pub...in good company!!

Making the Wednesday night rounds: Chaplain / PO Bob Montelongo and Fr. Dan Brandt run into a couple of hard-working PO's from 014 on a burglary in progress call at Sacramento Avenue and George Street.
With PO's like these two, it's easy to see why 014 has such low crime rates!

Thank you to the Brothers for their constant generosity to various worthwhile causes!
